Our approach to treating trauma for individuals with a dual diagnosis is holistic, individualized, and involves experts. It crosses interdisciplinary approaches. We will identify those individuals who would have experienced trauma for evidence-based treatment and services. Our policies shall clearly identify trauma and stress-related disorders and document our individuals’ capacity to cope. We provide variety of expertise and appropriate treatment services and supports for trauma individuals.
We adopt a systematic approach in documentation, risk factor assessment, trauma assessment, care treatment plan, therapeutic approaches, quality assurance goals and a clear treatment plan that monitors symptoms and behaviors related to trauma. There will be a training program for staff related to trauma to make the staff understand the characteristics and principles of trauma. Training goals reflect principles of recovery- oriented systems of care such as person-centered care, positive approach, choice and options, respect, dignity, therapeutic relationships, and full inclusion.
